Vinegar Coleslaw

Welcome again to “Yummy Mommies” the home of meal receipts & list of dishes, Today i will guide you how to make “Vinegar Coleslaw”. I made this Delicious recipe a few days ago, and I absolutely loved it and enjoyed it with my family. It came out very tasty and flavorful.

  • "karen" : I was looking for an Asian slaw recipe but hadn't found anything I liked, then I came across this.  It sounded so fresh and yummy I decided to use this one and "Asian-ize" it.  So I swapped 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil for 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil and used rice vinegar instead of wine vinegar. If I'd had sesame seeds I would have toasted them and added on top when serving.  Very versatile recipe!  Next time I want regular coleslaw I will make it using the recipe as-is.  Then I'll have two go-to slaw recipes.
  • "vanessa" : I threw this together quickly while the fish was cooking and added some shredded carrots and celery salt instead of regular salt. It turned out nice. I am just not a fan of mayo coleslaw. I would make this again.
  • "nicole" : At first, I didn't like this slaw very much, as it seemed to lack taste and seasoning, but after 24 hours, it tastes much better! To me, it's really good after a day or two. I adjusted the recipe a bit by adding a couple more splashes of vinegar and using 2 tbsp of stevia and 1 tbsp of brown sugar to cut a bit back on the use of pure white sugar. I tried it with just stevia, and it was too bitter...the brown sugar seems to cut out some of the bitterness.
  • "nancy" : I replaced the wine vinegar with Apple cider vingear,used fresh shredded cabbage, carrots,and broccoli.it turned out to be amazing, light,and crisp.thank yyou for sharing this easy,quick,healthy, recipe.
  • "paula" : Nice, light taste. Not a fan of mayo in slaw, so this fit the bill. Added a touch of sesame oil just to give it a bit of a kick
  • "judy" : I used only 1 TBS of sugar and thought it was too sweet. I would recommend making the dressing without the sugar and add it in until it fits your taste. Otherwise it's quite nice!
